Still playing around with looks. I’m a bit displeased with how simplistic this one feels, but I liked the cleanness of it. Wondering about the strange settler aesthetics of it, and trying to think how I’d do it differently. California requires less ties and so I’m defaulting to hats, which is a mixed bag.

I started by working in some purple hair wax into my hair and beard today, then decided that the purple shirt and waistcoat were necessities. Paired with newly re-arrived shoes form Lexington and everything was perfect.

This is it! I’m now in San Diego, I’m ready for teaching, and here we are, one week before it all begins. I decided to use two looks from Virginia for orientation week, and we’ll see how this style evolves over time. I’m nervous and excited and anxious and hopeful, y’all.
