I’m leaving for the airport in a few hours to head to the African Studies Association. I decided I should look fancy anyway.
Long day of teaching, but things feel a bit more on point. Also, FASHION CAPES ARE BACK.
Move accomplished. Exhausted. But relieved. No more wasps, please God.
New phone case! Cravat! Frohawk! Packing up the house today! Nonstop ridiculousness.
I had a multitude of appointments today before teaching: doctor, car, and dentist. Pre-packing for the move. Teaching queer theory. Somedays you pare down to a simple vest/shirt/nail victory.
Things are overwhelming. I’m moving apartments this weekend. We have no time to pack. I’m leaving for California for a ten day stay in one week. I am thoroughly, completely overwhelmed. But fashion on point. Thanks to Benjamin for the peacock brooch. Today’s theme is peacock phoenix. Gonna rise from the flames of this month.
After two days escape, we had a wasp today. ARGH. Moving will take place within the week. SO much to do. This cape is on point though.
i really liked this outfit.
I’ve had to accept that my house is fundamentally unsafe and I’ll likely have to move next week. I also had a fashion cape delivered today. It’s like a shawl but more awesome. A colleague accused me of looking like “a professor at Hogwart’s American branch campus,” and I think that’s entirely appropriate.
after nearly three weeks, the wasp situation has not improved, and i have the option of moving out. I’m exhausted and overwhelmed and have cried about four times today. But I had a good outfit.
