Never underestimate the power of liquid eyeliner, a top hat, and a tuxedo jacket. So that’s it for the most part until the semester starts back on January 11! See y’all then. (I may have some holiday fashion, but no promises!)
This is my most Doctor Who look yet.
I was feeling particularly sassy today. Also these new shoes arrived, so I felt badass and take charge. Today we’re teaching the rise of global fundamentalisms in Global History, covering roughly from the Iranian Revolution to the rise of ISIS.
I had a really rough day this morning and just left for work extraordinarily discouraged. I decided I’d shift to a largely burgundy/maroon day to assuage these sad feelings.
Needed something fancy today. Remembered I own a pair of pince-nez. Success.
Felt a simple outfit was in order, and then I made the brooch serve as a default tie.
Felt an all blue theme was in order.
Ben left for Illinois for a month. I am quite sad. But my outfit was on point. I may have been called a depressive militant today, and it’s not a wrong descriptor.
It was 44 degrees Fahrenheit and rainy heavily, so I required an infinity scarf from a dear friend, my trusty samurai umbrella, a trench coat from South Africa, and lots of sass (and coffee).
After 10 days in California, I’m back and teaching. This was a great dramatic return to place and professoring.
