Today just felt fancy, and I adore it. I like being able to pair an Elizabethan ruff with a wooden African medallion and I’d do it over in a heartbeat.

Ha! I found another isiZulu shirt in my collection, and paired it with a floral flowy cardigan, a feather earring, and a spiked collar. As you do.
Keeping the theme going by wearing an African character–Storm from the X-Men. This felt almost too informal, like I was just heading on errands and popped in to teach. However, we’ve been having fun in class, although things took a turn in examples today:
Sometimes you need a simple top hat and a fancy tie (you can get your own from Ana here) to jazz up a simple ensemble.
Never underestimate some casual office goth looks, combined with an Elizabethan ruff. Fewer accessories today, just to mix it up.
So, I don’t teach on Fridays this semester, but sometimes I have to come into the office, so there will periodic Friday office selfies. This was a nice way to dress up for low-key work.
Forgot to get a full length of this one, but this was my outfit for the day and there’s a lot going on, accessory-wise. Grey top hat? Check. Bee sweater pins? Sure. Septum ring? Why not. Not a bad way to start off the semester, though.
I really, really liked the ‘clean’ look of this outfit. The lines felt fucking phenomenal.
I was grumpy and exhausted and wanted to look CUTE. So I did. I love this vintage tuxedo jacket so much.
