Today was the first day of Spring Term and I’m teaching intensive isiZulu.  This was a conceptual outfit, based on the most-loved and little-known line from the Lion King’s “Circle of Life” in isiZulu: “igonyama nengw’enambala.”  The line means, “The lion in the spots of the leopard,” otherwise known as “the lion is a king” (only kings could wear leopard.  See the crown and leopard tie above.
